Small Gestures of Love
I mainly work with the documentary approach. I love when kids are allowed to be themselves, and to encapsulate the essence of your family in a series of images. With documentary, I seriously mean unposed, without expectations or requirements. Documenting real life as it unfolds.
As a mom of three boys, I have seen ... a lot. I have also experienced how stressfull it was to get them posed in front of the camera (with meltdowns, and us parents frustrated) and how fun it was with documentary photographers. The images that mean the most for me, are the ones that show their personality big time; not the smile to the camera. If this sounds like what you would love for your family and what you value, I would love to help you.
You get an experience of being truly present with your family, while I capture your relations and the beauty and possibly a bit weird things that happen during everyday life with kids.

What you can expect
Booking
1. Unformal chat
I would love to get you on the phone or on a skype meeting. It will give us the opportunity to feel if their is chemistry between us, tap in some concerns or quesions you might have, talk about your family, expectations and my way of working. This way, you will not invite a stranger to make very personal images of you and your family. Don't expect a hard-sales-talk where you have to take decisions. I always round up with telling you to give it a thought and come back to me if you want to find a date. I am an introvert, so I get you if you want to keep communication over email.
2. Booking
If you would love me to photograph, you just send me an email. We will find a date, and you will receive an invoice for the session fee, an agreement and a questionnaire.

The session
3. One week prior
We connect again, and check in on practicalities and a bit about your plans for the day. If you need some guidance for activities (especially with the shorter sessions), I am happy to help.
4. The session
You just do what you normally doI Think about me coming by as a friends visit, who happens to have a camera with her.
Reportage
5. After the session
Up to 4-6 weeks after our session, you will get a link to an online gallery. You will be able to see the images, and will have 3 days to choose the products you want to buy. If you need any guidance, we can meet over skype or you are welcome at my place.

Digital files and/or products are not included in the session fee. Sesson fee is due on time of booking, for a day in the life it can be split in multiple rates.
When your gallery is ready for online viewing, you choose the products you would like to purchase. This way you can choose what fits you and your family best. If I had to choose only one product, it would be a photobook that allows to really tell your story and can be taken from the shelf at any time. There is something magic about experiencing photographs on tangible products instead of on a screen. Often we don't think about what we want with our images when concidering a photosession. But it actually is an important step, to often images are forgotten somewhere on a harddisc.
If you want, purchases can be done on a payment plan.
Fine Art print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag. The paper has a high archival value and gives a very beatiful esthetic to your images.
